Terms & Conditions
Please read the following terms carefully before booking your lessons.
DRIVING LICENCE
On your first lesson, you must bring your valid provisional driving licence for verification.
Before this, please generate a licence check code from the official GOV.UK website.
Bringing your licence to each lesson is recommended and considered good practice.
EYESIGHT CHECK
An eyesight check will be carried out at the start of your first lesson.
You must be able to read a vehicle number plate from 20 metres.
If you require glasses or contact lenses to meet this standard, you must wear them every time you drive.
PAYMENTS
Payments can be made via bank transfer.
Lesson payments must be made at least 48 hours before the lesson start time, unless otherwise agreed.
Your first lesson is payable at the end of that lesson.
Failure to make payment on time may result in your lesson being cancelled.
CANCELLATIONS
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, at least 48 hours’ notice is required to avoid being charged.
-
More than 48 hours’ notice: No charge.
-
Less than 48 hours’ notice: Full lesson fee is chargeable.
-
If I can fill the cancelled slot with another student, no charge will apply.
-
If payment hasn’t been made before a late cancellation, the fee will be added to your next invoice and must be paid before further lessons.
-
Repeated short-notice cancellations may result in your slot being offered to another student.
-
If you cancel partway through a block booking, lessons already taken will be charged at the standard lesson rate, and the difference will be deducted from any refund due.
MISSED LESSONS / LATE ARRIVAL
If you are more than 10 minutes late, the lesson will be cancelled and the full fee will apply.
I always aim to arrive on time and ask for the same courtesy in return.
DRIVING TESTS
The use of my vehicle for your driving test is at my discretion and depends on your readiness and the car’s availability.
All test-day lessons or hire fees must be paid in advance.
If your test is cancelled by the DVSA at short notice, the time will still be charged as a normal lesson, and we will use it for additional training instead.
You can claim the test fee and associated lesson cost back from the DVSA by submitting a cancellation claim directly to them.
